Summary: The High-end Residential Foreman / Carpenter is the liaison between the field personnel and the site Superintendent. He or she works directly with the Superintendent to manage the construction crew and keep the jobsite operating safely and efficiently. Assists in delegating tasks, managing subcontractors, and foreseeing and solving problems as they arise. The Foreman / Carpenter is skilled in every aspect of construction and by this example leads the rest of the crew in upholding a professional image and corporate vision. In addition to laborer and apprentice responsibilities, you should be able to read blueprints, lumber takeoff, layout and direct others on framing and finish work.
Qualifications: Delegation and leadership skills; ability to read and understand prints; safety training and working knowledge of all phases of construction; communication skills and creative problem-solving ability; positive attitude and professional image; must have their own tools and transportation; a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
