About the Program: Sunrise Services is a social services agency that focuses on providing for the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in our community. We provide caregiving services, mental health resources, vocational services, and much more! Our work is dedicated to serving those who are elderly, disabled, or have mental health challenges.
General Responsibilities: Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding buildings. Assisting in other facility operations as needed.
Essential Functions: (Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job)
· General lawn care such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, removing debris, and raking lawns
· Weeding and mulching landscape beds
· Trimming/pruning small trees, hedges, and shrubs
· Removing unwanted, dead, or damaged trees
· Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees
· Monitoring and maintaining plant health
· Maintaining landscape design
· General facilities maintenance such as cleaning walkways
· Maintain outdoor equipment, landscape structures, etc.
· Maintain and winterize automatic watering/irrigation systems
· Clean gutters as needed
· Clean windows as needed
· Assist the Facilities Team with minor facilities repairs such as replacing lights, pressure washing, moving, and during winter, snow and ice removal
· Properly clean, maintain, and store all equipment
· Alert Operations/IT Manager to any building problems; make recommendations as appropriate.
· Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Remove snow and ice using shovel, snow blower, and de-ice compound.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Preferred on year minimum experience with building landscaping and grounds keeping.
Licensure/Certification: Driver's license.
Other Considerations:
DSHS background clearance required.
Valid current Washington Driver’s License required.
Auto insurance.
Acceptable driving record.
Intermediate to advanced skills to operate and maintain lawn equipment including, but not limited to, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, weed whackers, and hedge trimmers
Intermediate to advanced skill in general lawn care such as mowing, weeding, and trimming.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Excellent stamina and physical health
May be required to work evenings and weekends.
Schedule:
M - F
8am - 5pm
Compensation:
· $20-24/hour
· Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.

Paid vacation - Earned at .04 per hour worked for hourly employees, and 6.67 per month for salary (equates to about 2 weeks per year for full-time employees)
Sick Leave - 1 hour per 40 hours worked (equates to about 52 hours for full-time)

Paid ‘Floating’ Holiday to be used on a day of choice
