Hey folks, I’ve run this ad a few times as I am looking for someone to help with a remodel in my home who is interested in learning more about all aspects of construction and remodeling, but I haven’t found the right fit. I have hired and have had great luck picking up kids from local Colleges or High schools or others who are interested in this line of work and looking to learn more.
I’m a healthy individual in my 60s who has been a general contractor for decades. I also have a full-time executive job at a large corporation in Seattle, and we’ve been doing this remodel in my spare time. The property is located in the Montlake area of Seattle, near the University of Washington.
Work will include framing, drywall, plumbing, electricity, roofing, stone/concrete work, roofing, hauling, clean-up, and heavy lifting. I have my own tools and will coach and mentor on the safety, code, and best way to do the work, but also looking for someone who can work with a team or on their own. You must be able to do some physical work.
I currently have a team of two students in their early twenties from the UW, and am looking to add one more so we can expedite work and finish up some things before the rainy season starts and work through the winter/spring.
We typically work Saturdays but have worked additional days of the week if our schedules (and the weather) align. Working environment is laid-back, progressive/liberal, and professional. You must be interested in this work and willing to learn to do things correctly.

PAYMENT - $25/hr. NON-NEGOTIABLE paid at the end of the day via a cash app like Venmo, Zelle, PayPal etc
