Apprentice Elevator Mechanic

Accumar Industries, LLC, a growing residential elevator company in Poulsbo, WA, is seeking an Apprentice Elevator Mechanic to join our team. We design, build, and install custom-crafted residential incline elevators, offering a unique opportunity to learn a valuable trade. We ask that all applicants thoroughly review the following requirements to confirm their suitability for this position.

Experience:

Familiarity and/or experience with electrical & mechanical concepts is required.

Significant on-the-job-training is anticipated.

The ideal candidate will be prepared to:

Participate in our in-house apprenticeship program, gaining the skills and knowledge to become a licensed elevator mechanic.

Assist experienced mechanics with new installations and routine maintenance.

Manage parts inventory and keep our workspace organized.

Contribute to accurate and timely jobsite recordkeeping using computers and smart devices.

Travel throughout the Puget Sound region for installations and service calls (Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.)

Supply or acquire your own basic tools (e.g., wrench set, hammer, screwdrivers).

We're looking for someone who is:

Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic.

Eager to learn and build a career as an elevator mechanic.

Experienced with electrical and mechanical concepts (training provided).

Able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients via phone, email, and in person.

Organized and efficient with time management.

Able to perform physical labor, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, climbing stairs, squatting, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. In addition, must be able to safely navigate and climb hillsides and be comfortable working at various heights.

Other duties may include, but are not limited to

Metal fabrication and welding

Measuring and cutting materials

Mechanical assembly

Construction

Blueprint reading

Forklift operation

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Project timelines may require adjusted hours.

Starting Wage: $30 per hour
