Peak Living Maintenance is searching for a skilled Appliance Repair Technician to add to our Maintenance team. Those with skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing/replacing various types of home appliances and providing exemplary customer service to our residents while working in their home!
The Technician should be capable of quickly identifying what might be causing an issue with an appliance and able to use their learned methods to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
$26 - $30 Hourly - Reply with resume and confirm if you have License and Vehicle!
Additional skills include:
Diagnose and repair industrial and home appliances including dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove, refrigerator, etc
Collaborate with other team members, including maintenance person services, to complete project efficiently
Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices while performing work
Provide preventative maintenance and track by property
Accurately estimate costs when outsourcing for repair/replacement, and timeframe
Effectively communicate with resident and provide excellent customer service
Install (as needed) new appliances and ensure working properly
The Appliance Repair Technician will work closely with our Maintenance Team, and additional skills are not required but helpful for future growth opportunities. Our team is responsible for performing all inside and outside repairs, maintenance work and general upkeep for specified apartment buildings in the greater Seattle area. Maintenance Technician - Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Summary: Responsible for performing all inside and outside repair, maintenance work and general upkeep for designated buildings by performing the following duties.
Appliance Repair Duties & Responsibilities:
Repair home appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, etc
Replace defective or damaged appliance parts
Perform tests to ensure appliances work properly after the repair
Perform routine maintenance procedures
Maintain inventory of appliance parts, tools, manuals, and equipment
Provide excellent customer service to residents while in their home and cleanup, wear practical protective equipment as directed.
Install appliances in homes, offices, and other environments
Apply manufacturer manuals if necessary
Collect payments and maintain paperwork
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Survey designated properties for daily Work-Orders submitted completing each according to priority/difficulty level and effective time-management.
Documents each online Work-Order accurately and maintain progress updates with photos, descriptions, receipts and recording of hours worked at each stage of job completion.
Schedule service repairs to maintain functionality of all systems and ensures landscape of common areas are in the best condition at all designated properties.
Completes Unit Turn’s according to timeframe and budget estimates.
Installs equipment/deliveries according to established schedule, company standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and repair potential problems at each designated property.
Applies knowledge of safety and health guidelines and seeks additional training/education as appropriate.
Works closely with and obtains approval from Maintenance Manager in Unit Turn Completions from estimates, ordering of supplies or outside equipment, and hiring any additional third-party vendors.
Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles and keeps vehicle stocked with sufficient supply of parts and tools required.
Builds and maintains customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
Answers and completes after-hours/Emergency tasks as assigned. Ability to for formulate quick, effective solutions in accordance to time, safety, and company policies on own.
Tenants should be contacted within 24 hours of the submission of the WO during the work week, and 12 hours after returning from the weekend or holiday, any issues dealing with water leaks take first priority.
Techs should try and use their skills, knowledge and/or try and get advice from others to solve as many WO issues as they can before calling in for a third-party vendor to help with the situation.
All Emergency Calls must be written up as LEC
Techs are required to use the materials sign-out sheet at the Materials storeroom when taking materials. The use of Paychex for time recording and requesting time off is mandatory and used in the calculation of hourly wages.
Clocking into Appfolio should occur at the start of Work Order, and not complete until all notes and photos are added.
