VCA Rose Hill Animal Hospital located in Kirkland, Washington is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join their Small Animal General Practice.

We are looking for an experienced (minimum 2 years) Veterinary Assistant or CVA to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education. We are willing and happy to train the right person!

Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assist in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area.

Schedule: Full-time opportunities. Our hours of operation are currently Tuesday-Saturday 8am to 7pm, A Veterinary Assistant can work either 4/10’s or 5/8’s.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $22 – 24 / hour. Compensation is based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials

As a member of the VCA Rose Hill team, you will support the Technician and Doctor team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.

Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.

Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).

Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.

Maintaining medical records.

Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.

Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
