Position Summary:

Primary Job Responsibilities

Front office skills: This position will work in conjunction with the doctor and team to facilitate, support and maintain optimum patient care. Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative. This position requires outstanding front office skills, the ability to provide an exceptional patient experience, answering incoming calls on a multiple line telephone, collecting and inputting demographic and clinical data necessary for the accuracy and for visual health and performance of the patient, understanding of schedule management, working knowledge of insurances, and fulfillment of patient’s prescriptions.

Team Player & a Positive Disposition - this is a must. You must be able to work well with others and truly believe in teamwork. Our office is a drama-free zone!

Responsible for the following areas of patient care: telephone reception, greeting patients, assisting patients with forms, schedules appointments with specialists as recommended by doctor, providing an exceptional patient experience. Also, adherence to the policies and procedures of B-Town Eyecare and a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Performance Factors -

1. Attendance and dependability: The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work. Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious, about assignments.

2. Communication and contact: The employee communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the practice; able to effectively provide training to patients.

3. Relationships with others: The employee works effectively and relates well with others Including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.

4. Knowledge of computer technology, electronic health record documentation.

5. Knowledge of medical terminology used in documenting clinical exam findings.

6. Knowledge of third-party managed care insurance plans and claims procedures.

7. Knowledge of schedule management to ensure proper patient flow within clinic.

Qualifications

1. Must have computer skills and the ability to learn EMR system

2. Must have a passion for working with patients

3. Strong ability to multi-task with high degree of accuracy, attention to detail a must

4. Excellent customer service

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

6. Superior verbal and written skills

7. Strong interpersonal skills essential

8. Able to transition and think operationally

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
