Duties:
Support working parents with Part time care needed for our 17 year old boy with developmental disability - (non-verbal; complex communicator; seizure disorder; profound autism).
Help with before and after school, sick days, holidays
4-5 hours/day, 100-120 hours per month
Light house work
Transport to/from community
Support a smooth family life
START DATE by mid- MAY 2025
Requirements:
Experience working with Developmentally Disabled persons
Knowledge and use of Positive Behavioral Strategies
Skilled in helping DD persons navigate public spaces (e.g., YMCA )
Physically fit enough to fulfil job duties
Work alongside family members to develop a balanced care schedule - have a degree of flexibility to have some weekend and holiday availability
Approved IP provider (through DDA) or willing to go through IP certification
Punctual, orderly and personable
Comfortable living in a rural setting
