I am a 48-year-old female who has Cerebral Palsy and I use an electric wheelchair. I live in a two-bedroom apartment in Lynnwood, Wa. I am very active and enjoy life. Also, I am a very clean and organized person who enjoys a quiet home.

I am looking for a female roommate who is 20 years old or older who would like to be my caregiver during the weeknights and most weekends during the month. Someone who is clean, responsible, and not a partier who will fit well with my quiet lifestyle.

I am unable to have a couple or someone with children living with me because I live on state assistance.

CAREGIVER INFORMATION:

I have a daytime caregiver during the weekdays. I am looking for a caregiver for the weeknights and most weekends. Also, if possible, cover an occasional dayshift and random holidays.

Live-In: Weeknights 5pm to 8am (depending on day schedule, start and end time could be flexible), and weekends (not every weekend) all day and night when home. The sleep hours during the weekdays and the unpaid hours during weekends are discounted in exchange for free rent and low living expenses.

-The current hourly pay rate starts at $20.81 an hour D.O.E., 40 hours a week of pay through Consumer Direct/DSHS not an Agency

-In the first three to four months of starting this job (official start date) there is a paid 70-hour training course

caregivers must take

-This job comes with medical and dental benefits

-Paid vacation hours and raises

YOU MUST:

-Be female

-Be 20 years old or older

-Be comfortable driving a minivan

-Lift 100 lbs. without assistive devices

-Be responsible, clean, and organized

-Have a clean background and driving record (to be provided while going through the application process)

JOB DUTIES:

-Cooking

-Cleaning

-Doing laundry

-Dressing

-Toileting

-Bathing and shaving

-Personal hygiene

-Feeding

-Driving a minivan (errands, shopping, etc.…)

ROOMMATE INFORMATION:

You will be responsible for paying half of all the household bills. The bills consist of electricity (PUD), cable and internet (Comcast). You will also be responsible for supplying your own food, personal items, and hygiene products such as laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. There is an application fee sometimes for the apartment complex upon moving in.

I have one cat that is my Service Animal. So, if you are allergic to cats, please be aware of that. Not allowed to have other animals. Unless the animal lives in a tank or cage and is quiet, it might be negotiable. Tank or cage stays in second bedroom.
