Hello. We are looking for an amazing caregiver to join our team. You are a person dedicated to helping others. You have experience with private 1/1 in home care. You have all of the credentials and great references. You are talkative, kind, compassionate, aware and confident. You are fully experienced at using a Hoyer lift, slings, and other transfer methods. You are fully vaccinated, have a Washington drivers license and a clear driving record, and insurance. You are willing to do light housekeeping, prepare meals, and assist with all activities of daily living. You have your own car and live within 45 minutes of downtown Seattle. You have a thick skin and are able to diffuse challenging situations with humor and grace. You do not smoke or use recreational drugs.
We live in Seattle and need the above. The person requiring care is mid 60s and in a power wheelchair. He is unable to move and requires help throughout the day. He is stubborn and sometimes becomes frustrated with his situation. He will occasionally lash out at the people around him including his Care Team. It is not personal, he just needs to vent his frustrations and then calm down. He is actually very kind and friendly 99% of the time.
We need you for weekend shifts. Saturday and Sunday, from 7 AM to 3 PM. You will be given 30 minutes off each day unpaid to be able to have lunch and make personal calls. We pay every two weeks via a payroll service. You must have the ability to have taxes withheld, and also a bank account for direct deposit. Immediate opening starting July 19. There may also be a Wednesday shift from 7 AM to 5 PM.
