The City of Poulsbo is seeking applications for a part-time Office Clerk to staff the front desk at the Recreation Center. The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented team player who enjoys serving the public and doing a high volume of office tasks in a lively environment. Primarily responsibilities include providing customer service in person, via telephone and email, performing program operational tasks such as taking registrations, making reservations, communicating class schedules and changes, performing accounting tasks, preparing and editing documents, monitoring the facility, filing, creating graphics, and being a go-to front line staff-member who will represent the department with friendly poise.

Hours and Compensation: The position is part-time, 30 hours per week. The starting salary is $23.56 per hour with a maximum 2024 Non-Represented Hourly Employee wage of $27.30 per hour.

Work hours (subject to slight changes) are: Tuesday: 1:00-8:30pm; Wednesday: 2:00-8:30pm;

Thursday: 1-7:30pm; Friday: 1-7:30pm; and Saturday: 9:15am-2:15pm.

Tuesday - Friday hours will include a half-hour unpaid lunch and a 15-minute paid break.

Saturday hours will include a 15-minute paid break.

Benefits: Benefits are pro-rated for part-time employees. There are 11 paid holidays, sick leave accruals per month, and vacation accruals per month with future increases to the vacation accruals. After six months of employment, employees receive one floating holiday; and after one year, two personal leave days are provided. Employees receive an additional 1% longevity pay after five years which increases every five years thereafter with a 6% maximum. This position is eligible for retirement benefits with the State of Washington’s PERS System.
