Stottle Winery is an ultra premium winery with a tasting room in Hoodsport, WA along Hwy. 101 on the Hood Canal. The winery is located in Lacey, WA.

Stottle is hiring a tasting room associate to work part-time at our winery tasting room in Hoodsport, WA. Pay is hourly plus tips and wine-club sign-up commissions.

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, honest, hardworking, positive energy, customer oriented individuals with a passion for wine. They will have a working knowledge of wines of the world with desire to learn more.

The following are minimum requirements for this position:

Work hours are 10:30am - 5:30pm Saturday & Sunday. Fridays may be available from time to time as well as the occasional weekday or evening at our Lacey location, these are not required.

Start date is somewhat flexible, but ideally by May 22nd.

Working knowledge of wines of the world.

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Strong basic math skills.

Basic familiarity with MS Word, Excel.

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for 7 hours daily.

Must obtain a MAST license if you don’t hold already.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Duties to include but will not be limited to:

Greet guests promptly and provide them with a memorable tasting experience.

Provide excellent and professional customer service, with an emphasis on creating customer loyalty.

Effectively promote the brand by selling wine and Wine Club memberships.

Conduct guided wine tastings.

Converse intelligently about wine varietals and wine making.

Open & Close the tasting room.

Operate POS system.

Update and maintain customer information CRM database.

Clean Tasting Room & Restroom.

Re-Stock wines as necessary.

Assist with Special Events as needed.

Take Inventory.

Maintain appropriate professional dress and personal hygiene standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate will also possess some or all of the following:

Education, Certificate, or Degree in a Wine related field.

Experience working in a tasting room, wine bar, winery, or high end restaurant.

Hospitality Experience.

Sales experience.

Average take home pay including commission and electronic tips is $24.50/hr (cash tips are above and beyond this). Typical range for a pay period is $20-$34/hr. Pay beyond hourly base is not guaranteed. Includes some paid holidays after 90 days of employment.
