Lowell's in Pike Market is hiring for the Front of House: SERVER
Sunday to Thursday, 1pm until close which is last orders at 5pm and then however long it takes to finish side-work and breakdown, it varies, but anticipate 45 minutes. So, 5 x 4.75 hours = 23 hours. Your section would be 7-9 tables and turn time is fast, usually 45 minutes (and we don't rush people!).
Availability through Labor Day weekend and Christmas week (closed Thanksgiving Day and Xmas Day) is essential.
This position is guaranteed until December 31st 2024 and then again from Spring 2025, although I don't consider this a seasonal hire, here's why: in January & February we slim down to 1 server in the pm (instead of 2) so there are less hours available at that time. All that would need to happen to make this a permanent position is for one existing employee to leave before January 1st. I'm very proud of our staff retention and longevity, but there's always someone graduating, or moving away, etc. If that didn't happen, there were no employee changes at all, you would be offered first refusal of re-employment again in the early spring, or a possible but not mandated short term transition into another role, thus remaining in full time employment.
This position is 5 days a week, the training period will include exposure to different front-of-house roles in the restaurant that are not serving to enhance the team spirit and method. Also there are frequent opportunities for cover shifts, as well as potential for cross training. Servers may expect personal sales of $1200-2000 per 4-5 hour shift, so should be well equipped to handle high volume and fast table turn times.

Make good money another server working similar hours (and taking January & February off entirely to travel) to those advertised posted a w2 for 2023 of over $67,000. This server would pick up occasional 8 hour running shifts as well sometimes, so without that it would probably net out to at least $55-60,000 just from the 23 hours/week serving.
Being primarily a breakfast and lunch restaurant, we close (with seasonal variation) in the early evening - lead a normal life with evenings and nights to yourself!

You:
Have high volume experience, this is not an entry level position. Regular personal sales of a minimum of $1200 in 4 hours required.
