A la Mode Pies, voted Seattle's "Best Pie Shop" since 2011 is looking to add a part-time evening barista/counter server to our West Seattle Cafe (California Ave / Alaska St). A la Mode Pies is experiencing rapid growth, so employees have lots of flexibility to grow and learn new skills while working alongside a team of people who love what they do.
Night and weekend shifts are required - 2-3 shifts per week. The West Seattle cafe closes at 9PM Mon-Thurs, 10PM on Fri & Sat. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred. The ideal candidate adores pie, loves doing prep work, chatting with customers, demonstrates strong communication skills, excellent customer service, solves problems quickly, keeps calm under pressure, and possesses a contagious positive attitude.
All staff receive a portion of daily tips (an additional $5+ per hour), periodic wage increases, paid personal time off, a flexible schedule, and lots of free pie. Advancement opportunities are available for born leaders who want more responsibility and health insurance. Base pay starts at $17.25 per hour (total hourly wage with tips = $22-24 per hour).
