We are a small café and Levantine market in the Magnolia neighborhood looking for a line and prep cook to join our team!
A little more about our work environment - we are a small family business and treat our staff as such. We include a shift meal, and make sure there's time to sit down and take a break to enjoy your meal instead of eating on the run. We almost always can grant time off with at least 3 weeks notice and work with you if it's within that.
Duties Include:
- Cooking proteins, wrapping sandwiches, prepping entrees, making dressings/pickles/falafel
- Prep work and completing all items on the prep sheet provided by the owner and sous chef
- Good knife skills for prepping vegetables, cutting proteins
- Working with kitchen equipment - standard fryers, ranges, ovens, vertical mixer
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers
- Be ready and willing to assist co-workers as necessary
- Must be on time and ready to perform all required duties
Job details:
- $19.50/hr + tips brings it up to about $23-$24/hr
- Team oriented, fun, and focused work environment
- Small team environment
- Thursday - Sunday, 12 - 8pm
Requirements:
- Line/Prep Cook experience
- Positive and team-oriented attitude required
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work alone and stay on task needed at times
