We are a small cafe & Levantine market in the Magnolia neighborhood looking for a prep cook to join our team and help prep our catering orders for the week.
A little more about our work environment - we are a small family business and treat our staff as such. We include a shift meal, and make sure there s time to sit down and take a break to enjoy your meal instead of eating on the run. We almost always can grant time off with at least 3 weeks notice and work with you if it's within that.
Duties Include:
- Cooking proteins, cutting and prepping high volume produce, making dressing, etc.
- Prep work and completing all items on the prep sheet provided by our kitchen manager
- Good knife skills for prepping vegetables, cutting proteins
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers
- Be ready and willing to assist co-workers as necessary
- Must be on time and ready to perform all required duties
Job details:
- $21/hr + tips brings it up to about $22-$24/hr
- Team oriented, fun, and focused work environment
- Small team environment
- Thursday - Sunday, 12-8pm
Requirements:
- Prep cook experience is a must
- Must have good knife skills and experience with high volume prep
- Positive & team-oriented attitude required
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work alone and stay on task needed at times
