Lead Server $17-20/hour + Tips

As the Lead Server, you are responsible for ensuring that the service team delivers a quality experience to our guests by providing courteous, professional and friendly service, and training team members to the same standards. You are knowledgeable on the menu and wine list, and are able to assist other servers with guest menu questions, and communicate service and quality issues effectively to the kitchen staff. All tasks and interactions are done in a way that upholds the company’s mission, vision, and values.

QUALIFICATIONS

■ Current food handler’s permit and liquor permits or ability to obtain prior to hire

■ Must be at least 18 years old

■ Previous experience as a restaurant supervisor/lead preferred

■ Must have broad and extensive knowledge of guest service with experience with full-service resort including dining room, banquet, beverage, and catering

■ Demonstrated ability to work as a team and work independently

■ Excellent attention to detail

■ Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time, go up and down stairs, walk, bend, reach, stoop, lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

■ Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

■ Greet guests immediately in a courteous, friendly manner

■ Describe menu and beverage items and take orders in a timely fashion

■ Serve guests quickly and efficiently, and clear each course from the table per service standards

■ Ensure presentation of check is prompt and accurate, and payment is processed and completed accurately and efficiently

■ In-depth knowledgeable of menu items, including drinks and specials, and provide suggestions and recommendations when needed

■ Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative work environment using opportunities to coach constructively

■ Supervise the dining room and assist in controlling staff levels by determining most beneficial course of action in consideration of revenue and labor

■ Train new servers on service standards, menu items, and restaurant policies

■ Motivate and inspire the service team to provide exceptional service

■ In conjunction with FOH Manager, conduct regular and ongoing training to ensure service team is fully competent in product knowledge, service techniques, policies and procedures

■ Address and resolve guest issues in the absence of FOH Manager and General Manager

■ Complete side work and end of shift responsibilities

■ Leave the wait area clean and organized, and ensure the dining room is set and cleaned per policies

■ Complete check reconciliations and bank drops completely and accurately

■ Other duties as requested and assigned by your manager

PAY RANGE

$17.00 - $20.00/hr plus tips
