Hiring Now – Front of House Staff for what used to be Moshi Moshi

Washington, Seattle-tacoma, 98101 Seattle-tacoma USA
Aplica ya

We’re opening a new restaurant near Downtown Tacoma, in the same location where Moshi Moshi used to be. We need to hire a full Front of House team immediately because we fired sixteen people without notice!

Positions Open:

Floor Leads, Servers, Bussers, Expos, Hosts

Job Description:

You will be expected to:

Memorize an unfinished menu on short notice with little help.

Work without clearly defined roles or consistent direction.

Cover multiple positions during a single shift, especially if short-staffed.

Handle large sections with minimal support and no guarantees of tip pooling.

Clean and reset the restaurant nightly, often after your scheduled hours.

Deal with frustrated guests when food is late or incorrect.

Use a malfunctioning or incomplete POS system.

Adapt to sudden schedule changes or additional responsibilities without warning.

Complete unpaid side work and attend mandatory unpaid meetings.

Be available at the last minute, especially during soft openings and private events.

What You Should Know:

There are no health benefits, PTO, or sick leave.

This is an at-will position. You can be let go at any time, without explanation or warning.

Complaints about working conditions may not be addressed.

Labor laws and breaks may not be consistently followed or enforced.

Favoritism and unclear chains of command are likely during the opening phase.

There is no formal HR department or protections in place.

Tips may fluctuate wildly and are not guaranteed, even on busy nights.

You may be cut mid-shift if sales are slow.

What You Get:

An opening team experience with no clear structure or leadership.

A chance to “build something” while absorbing the fallout of poor planning.

Sometimes a free meal, if there’s food left or the kitchen isn’t overwhelmed.

The opportunity to work in a “fast-paced” environment where burnout is common and recognition is rare.

A paycheck, assuming hours are entered correctly and management doesn’t forget.

Who Should Apply:

This is a poor fit for anyone looking for stability, career growth, or basic respect. If you’re used to chaotic openings, don’t expect benefits, and are comfortable being blamed for things outside your control, this might be for you.

To Apply:

Send a resume and let us know what position you’re hoping for. Interviews may happen last-minute. No guarantees of follow-up.
