Position Description

Landmark Event Co. is Seattle’s premier multi-event space company with in-house catering by Herban Feast. We provide unique guest-centric experiences at our six venues and offsite locations and are looking to expand our team for the 2024 season.

Key Responsibilities

As a Head Cook, you will be responsible (but not limited) for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, including menu planning, recipe development, food ordering, food preparation, and kitchen staff supervision. Your role will involve ensuring the quality and consistency of food served at all events, managing kitchen operations efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and collaborating with the company leadership to meet clients' culinary expectations.

Additionally, you may be involved in cost control, inventory management, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Compensation

$24-28/hr starting rate, based on experience

- Strong culinary skills and a passion for food.

- Leadership and management abilities to oversee kitchen staff.

- Menu planning and recipe development expertise.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and event planners.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong organizational skills to manage kitchen operations efficiently.

- Creativity in designing visually appealing and delicious dishes.

- Problem-solving skills to address any kitchen-related challenges effectively.

- Budgeting and cost control skills to manage food costs effectively.

Job Requirements

- Two year experience plus in a full-service restaurant and or commissary kitchen preferred.

- Experience in cooking and prepping.

- Must be able to keep work station clean and organized at all times.

- Experience in high-volume

- Must have Food Handlers Card

- Able to work effectively within a team.

- Be able to work in a standing position with lots of movement around the BOH for extended periods of time and able to lift 40 lbs.

- Must have great energy and the ability to multi task.

- Ability to work under pressure during busy periods. Must be willing to work days, weekends or some holidays. Must have open availability.
