Job Description
Expeditors is seeking a Staff Accountant - Tax to join its US Tax Team. This position will prepare state income tax filings, personal property tax filings, indirect tax filings, defend filing positions in audit proceedings, and will assist in income tax research & analysis. This position may work from any location in the US that has an Expeditors office.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
Minimum oneyears of experience in public accounting and/or industry preparing corporate income tax, sales & use tax and property tax returns.
Technically proficient and have strong accounting and analytical skills.
Experience in tax controversy preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications (specifically Excel), electronic tax compliance systems (preferably, CorpTax), and financial query tools (preferably, Hyperion Financial).
