Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role is within the service industry and will involve a variety of responsibilities including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance.Responsibilities: Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness Handle balance sheet reconciliation tasks in a timely and efficient manner Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Create journal entries as needed, ensuring they are accurate and complete Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data Perform month-end close activities, including the preparation of financial reports Use NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software for various accounting tasks Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and business policies Proactively identify and address any issues or discrepancies in financial records. Requirements Possess relevant industry experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role. Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Familiarity with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes. Experience with journal entries preparation and posting. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of accounting software like NetSuite is required. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
