DescriptionJoin the Amazon North America Payment Acceptance team! We are responsible for how Amazon’s customers pay on the Amazon.com (US) and Amazon.ca (CA) sites and through Amazon’s services. As part of that, our team creates payments products and services that position the US Amazon Store as the "Everyone Store", including providing convenience, equity and access to underserved customers.Our team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager-Tech to drive and support the development of payments products to enable low-income and other underserved customers to use restricted payment methods in Amazon’s online stores, including our ongoing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) acceptance program in the US and our roadmap to expand the types of government benefits and emerging restricted payment options we accept online.As a Senior Product Manager-Tech, you will have ownership and responsibility to drive new product development end-to-end, leveraging your deep product management and technical expertise to work backwards from the customer aiming to improve the customer payments experience, scale the business and drive expansion. This is a high visibility, fast-paced role working across multiple organizations. Key stakeholders include Amazon Access, Worldwide Grocery Stores, Payments Business Operations, Public Policy and Legal. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and can both think big and dive deep. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with UX designers and technical and business teams and will demonstrate the aptitude to drive positive change with customer empathy and critical thinking.You will be responsible for driving Payments KPI’s related to these payment methods, including cost of payments, purchase success rate, and new customer acquisition, working with the biggest players in the payments industry to deliver best-in-class customer payment experiences and operational efficiencies while driving change in the industry.Internally, you will leverage Amazon’s resources (including payments business operations, marketing, business intelligence, engineering, customer support, among others) to develop and deliver these experiences. While you will focus initially on the US, you will align with the rest of the global Payments Acceptance and Experience team to ensure alignment on partner relationships and global strategies.As a product leader at Amazon, all innovations start with the customer and work backwards. This approach requires strong writing skills required to convey your product vision through the value delivered to the end customer. Expect to dive deep into customer metrics, competitive benchmarking and payments data to inform your strategy. A proven track record of delivering results in the payments industry, and experience representing large businesses with external C-suite executives and regulatory bodies is key. Role located in Seattle (WA) or Arlington (VA).Key job responsibilities

Evaluate technical solutions with alternatives and decompose significantly complex problems into concise and effective technical propositions.

Manage through ambiguity to project a clear, long-term vision for your products.

Develop and own a roadmap of product enhancements that you collaborate across internal stakeholders, engineering, business and design teams to deliver.

Work with internal and external customers to understand use cases and existing solutions. Drive requirements definition, CX design, compliance, feature development priority, and product messaging.

Partner with multiple tech and product teams across multiple locations with varying sets of priorities to ensure a timely delivery of the solution.

Address bottlenecks, identify inefficiencies, anticipate and make tradeoffs; balance the business and customers’ needs versus technical constraints.

Own Business Requirement Documents, User Stories, Use Cases, and Product Strategy documents.

Design mechanisms to ensure long-term product or business success.

Influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.

5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Bachelor's degree

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Experience with end to end product delivery

Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Experience managing technical products or online services

Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Relevant work in product management or equivalent experience in the payments industry.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
