DescriptionAre you a strong business development leader who is passionate about working with Public Sector customers to create transformative workforce enablement strategies to deliver upon their missions and accelerate their journey to the Cloud?We are looking for a Training and Certification (T&C) Technical Business Development Leader for North America Public Sector who thrives on reimagining how we can create and deliver large scale enablement strategies in Public Sector, earns trust with customers and colleagues; cultivates talent and delivers results.As the business development leader for T&C Public Sector for North America, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of this market for Training and Certification. Your responsibilities will include identifying great ways to improve outcomes for customers, driving revenue and adoption for T&C and helping develop/refine the T&C strategy for the Public Sector Enterprise segment. Your responsibilities will also include building and managing a skilled business development team focused on driving revenue, delivering customer impact and deepening and expanding relationships within key accounts. As a T&C leader, you will create key partnerships to develop the broader Public Sector ecosystem for AWS training products to build momentum and scale in the market.The ideal candidate will possess a technology sales management background that enables them to lead a team of senior business development managers in engagements with CXO level customers. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to own, define, develop and execute a multi-year growth plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets while also being a strategic thinker.To be successful in this position, you must have demonstrated ability to inspire and foster the right behaviors in others to deliver outstanding results. Think Big, Earn Trust, and Deliver Results.Key job responsibilities Coach and manage a team of Business Development Managers, setting team and individual goals and revenue plans and successfully meet or exceed these as a team Work closely with the Account and Partner Teams to identify, plan and deliver Training and Certification Programs for AWS Partner and Customer Audiences Own the executive relationships in top Public Sector customers to drive their long term learning and development and transformation agendas in partnership with AWS account teams Collaborate across teams within AWS and Global Services (e.g., Solution Architects, Product and curriculum, ProServe) that drive strategic impact for the customer and AWS Maintain a strong relationship with key customers to ensure flawless execution of enablement strategies Evangelize AWS Training & Certification at company and industry events Drive training engagements at the CXO level as well as with Line of Business Leaders across complex organizations Build & maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior managementAbout the teamAbout AWSDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences. 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent

Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market.
