As a Senior Estimator, your key responsibilities will be to evaluate bid specifications and drawings for medium to large heavy civil projects, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project. Prepare bid packages to subcontractors to understand specific scopes. Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received, and work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business. Critical for success are the abilities to produce highly accurate work in a timely manner, maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills. This position will have 3 direct reports so previous management experience is required along with a passion for supporting the growth of the team. The anticipated salary range is $112,000 – $155,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. What it takes:

Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree preferred

10 years of related heavy civil experience and/or training, or equivalent combination

Experience estimating SDOT and WSDOT projects

Experiences with bridges preferred

Identifies and understands differences subcontractor quotations

Engages and coordinates with lead estimator on bids

Knowledge of construction means and methods

Previous management and negotiation experience

Solid MS Office and estimating software skills

Knowledge of estimating software, Heavybid

Must possess a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record

Project Management experience (desired)

Limited travel
