Security Design EngineerEssential Functions And Responsibilities

Quality Control: Review and validate client project drawings for accuracy and ensure all QC checklist items are adhered to for each project deliverable. Incorporate feedback from Engineer, BIM Lead, and System Designer II for continuous improvement of drawing sets.

Collaborate: Work collaboratively with the Engineer, BIM Lead, and System Designer II on projects from design to closeout. Assist team with the preparation and assembling of documents and packages.

Design: Learn and develop a working knowledge of drafting/modeling of the security floor layouts for access control, video, and other various security systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and access control board layout drawings under the guidance of Engineer, BIM Lead, and System Designer II.

Production: Under general supervision of the BIM Lead, support basic design tasks, develop basic security floor layouts, and prepare system drawings. Maintain complete and orderly project files and documentation.

Requirements

Hybrid Schedule starting out with 5 days in the office then transitioning into 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

1+ years Revit experience required

Revit experience in Security, Electrical, or Telecom fields preferred

Electronic security experience with vendor-specific knowledge (Lenel, Software House CCure 9000, DMP, Milestone, etc.) is a plus

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and work quality

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

Tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new technologies and the demonstrated ability to apply new systems to everyday tasks

Proficiency in Bluebeam preferred, Navisworks, and Dynamo is a plus

Associate degree, Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Electrical Design, or relevant work experience

Experience with Mission Critical, Educational, Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, or Government projects preferred
