We build solutions to ensure Customers can 1) Seamlessly discover titles they want to watch, 2) Make selections based on defect free presentation of title’s value proposition on the detail page 3) Stream and comprehend content as intended by storytellers/creators, without critical interruptions. To achieve this, we enable continuous quality assessment of titles via tools and technology, to prevent defects at the earliest possible points of title assembly and ensure titles remain defect free through their lifecycle with Prime Video.Principal, PMT in the Quality and Tools organization will be accountable for new defects which may appear on listed content as it goes through changes such as replacements, addition of new variants of content (directors cuts and extended versions) or the same content is offered by different licensor in different windows in different markets. They will drive fundamental investments in catalog, processes and systems by 1) Identifying root cause of defect introduction. 2) Studying industry practices, business outcomes and internal and external innovations 3) Identifying needs of our content partners and post houses, to help them reduce defects and creating integration strategy with the wider partner ecosystem and applications. They will be required to understand multiple product initiatives within PV to device an integration roadmap for technologies which fundamentally remove opportunities for defects.Key job responsibilitiesPrincipal Product Manager in the Quality and Tools organization will- Work with science teams such as Automated Match and Merge technology to find content relationship with each other and to convert customer behavioral signals to defect identification. PV business to deeply understand business practices across different offer types in territories, expected outcomes, revenue/engagement drivers and current bottlenecks. They will translate those requirements to new investments needed in content lifecycle. Identify Quality KPIs most correlated to engagement and business outcomes by working with Data science and engineering. They will identify optimal engineering investments required to move the needle. Partner Applications: They will work with Partner Facing product teams to define pivots of catalog and operations data most relevant to partner to drive faster action, save cost, fulfill selection gaps. Drive bench marking across services in the media industry and create strategic differentiation. Define catalog fragments and downstream collaboration on specific customer journeys. Example, our personalization algorithms do not consider catalog models such as Variants detection, inconsistent TV hierarchy identification, and series integrity. This means that customers may be recommended similar titles or incomplete series, leading to a sub-optimal viewing experience.A day in the lifeThey will be required to understand multiple product initiatives within PV to design a roadmap.

ML/CV: Work with science teams to standardize signal integration to operations.

Central UI team: Work with the central UI design team to optimize our front-end design.

Partner Applications: Work with Partner Facing product teams

Content Operations and Trust and Safety Program: They will be the SPOC for operational orgs which use these tools.

Market Research: They will drive bench-marking across available 3P applications in the media industry and create strategic differentiation.

2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

8+ years of technical product or program management experience

Bachelor's degree

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.
