Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Lead Payroll Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This is with a rapidly growing organization with high visibility responsibilities.Responsibilities Managing timely and accurate processing of payroll tax deposits and returns. Ensuring all payroll-related taxes are filed appropriately and in a timely manner. Conducting monthly reconciliation of payroll accounts with the general ledger and addressing any discrepancies. Investigating and rectifying errors in payroll transactions. Collaborating with the accounting team for accurate and timely recording of payroll-related journal entries. Assisting in the preparation of payroll and benefits related financial statements and reports. Preparing and submitting the annual census report for the company's 401k retirement plan. Collaborating with the HR team and external auditors during the annual 401k plan audit and providing necessary information. Ensuring accurate documentation and data for the audit are submitted in a timely manner. Maintaining organized payroll and benefits records and files. Documenting processes and procedures and training team members.Requirements Proficiency in Payroll Tax Deposits, ensuring accurate and timely completion Experience with Payroll Tax Reporting and able to maintain compliance with regulations Ability to prepare and file Payroll Tax Returns effectively Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and their implications on company finances Skilled in managing Payroll Transactions and ensuring all payments are processed accurately Familiarity with General Ledger and ability to maintain it with accuracy Experience in carrying out Monthly Bank Reconciliation and resolving any discrepancies Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for Ability to handle Month End Close processes, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
