At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-liftorbital launch vehicle capable ofroutinelycarrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designedfrom the beginningto be human-capable.
As part of a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for developing and qualifying the next generation of motor inverters and variable frequency drives in support of the New Glenn mission. This will require coordinating with multi-functional engineering teams to assure successful design qualification per company and industry standards.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Develop new inverter design across the entire product life cycle, from concept and requirements definition, design, analysis, prototyping, schematic capture, layout, design review, test/verification (power-on, functional / acceptance / qualification testing) and through release to production.
Support architecture trade studies, analyses, performance characterization and specification, device selection, and product roadmap direction.
Support design risk analyses, failure modes effects and criticality analyses (FMECA), design for test/manufacture/cost (DFx), and root-cause analysis of test discrepancies.
Effectively communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management.
