While you’re busy impacting the healthcare industry, we’ll take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, annual bonus eligibility, and more!ResponsibilitiesPos ition PurposeThe Licensed Inpatient Psychiatry Consultation Service Social Worker provides social workinterventions for Medical Center patient and family needs, as part of the behavioral health team.Some responsibilities include but are not limited to: complete psycho/social assessments forcare planning and care transitions, ensure appropriate resources are in place to facilitate safeand timely hospital discharge plans, perform involuntary psychiatric care related evaluation,communication, and testimony, develop plans for ongoing treatment with community servicesand agencies; provide short-term counseling to assist with emotional, social, and economicstresses of illness and disability.Principal AccountabilitiesThe following duties are intended to be representative of the work performed by incumbents in thisposition and is not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it fromthe position if the work is similar, related or a logical extension of position responsibilities.

Work as part of the Inpatient Psychiatric Consultation Service, a team that provides behavioralhealth consultation, guidance, and recommendations in the inpatient medical setting.

Complete behavioral health and psychosocial assessments.

Have a working knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, including assessment for risk ofsuicide or harm to self or others, and plan transitions of care with persons experiencing mentalhealth crisis.

Active in planning and coordination with a multidisciplinary inpatient team, community partners,court systems, and outpatient care teams regarding patients detained under the Involuntary

Treatment Act and others as needed.

Complete behavioral health related discharge planning and assist with transitions of care.Assist with ensuring legal timelines and requirements are met for patients detained on aninvoluntary hold.

Provide professional witness and proxy testimony in Involuntary Treatment Court.

Communicate effectively with outside facilities and agencies, including psychiatric hospitals,members of the involuntary treatment system, outpatient care teams, and more.

Provide psychoeducation and brief solution focused interventions to support patients andfamilies during their hospital stay.

Other duties as assigned.

“We deliver inspired people to do meaningful work.”QualificationsQualificationsMasters of Social Work from an accredited college or university and either Licensed AdvancedSocial Work (LASW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) license.2 years of social work experience in an outpatient, emergency, or inpatient setting with abehavioral health focus strongly preferred.Strong interpersonal skills; a working knowledge of individual and family dynamics; strongorganizational skills, detail oriented, ability to multitask, an understanding of systems and how towork within systems; an understanding of the impact and implications of disease and the courseof disease; excellent communication skills; the ability to perform psycho/social assessments;and a working knowledge of community resources.We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.Pay Range$36.89 - $53.49 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
