Together we are empowered to make an even greater impact on the health and well-being of our communities.ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for the efficient and timely treatment of inpatients, outpatients, and organizational efficiency byensuring the patient's relevant previous imaging (Xray, CT, MR, US and fluoroscopy) are quickly and efficiently obtained fromsister institutions within VMFH (Virginia Mason Franciscan Health) and from other hospitals outside of VMFH. This will allowfor efficient and timely care of the patient and to prevent waste in terms of time, effort, and expense by having to repeatimaging because the previous imaging and results could not be obtained. Work involves communications withinternal/external providers and their clinical support teams, technologists and nursing staff, external healthcare facilities andlegal representatives.An incumbent performs, within scope of position, the digital storage, retrieval, organization and presentation of VMFHimaging health information by utilizing the current Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Radiology Information System (RIS) andPicture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Work also includes facilitating the electronic transfer of all Radiologydigital imaging and diagnostic reports by importing imaging records from other medical facilities into the VMFH’s RIS, PACSand EMR systems. An incumbent also accurately processes and facilitates the transfer and exportation of all requestedrecords to external stakeholders.Work is performed in a fast-paced and high volume environment and in compliance with VMFH policies/guidelines and allFederal and State release of information regulations including HIPAA (Federal) and the Washington State Health InformationAct."We deliver inspired people to do meaningful work."QualificationsWe RequireOne year of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.Just as Virginia Mason is dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and our community, we are equally dedicated to your professional and personal success.
