Per Diem, Days POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Presents menus and instructs patients on the meal ordering process. The Ambassador will need to evaluate the patient’s ability to access and function in the Room Service Dining program.
Assistance is provided to patients and/or caregivers in placing meal orders.
Serves patient meals and nourishments; ensures food is handled safely and patient meal trays are delivered accurately. Actively contributes to team process, maintains cooperative work environment and works to improve quality of service provided to patients. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick-up your assigned unit phone and IPad.
Check in with call center staff if you have specific questions. Upon receiving a new diet order, the Ambassador will need to visit the patient within a half hour. The Ambassador will present menus to the patient or guests, introduce the features of the Room Service Program
Respond to Patient, Nurse and Call Center inquiries. Distribute and collect menus
Deliver, nourishments and tube feedings to patients in accordance with Patient diet orders.
Provide basic nutritional services to Clinical Patients such as distribution and pick-up of meals trays
Do unit nourishment inventory and stock.
Act as a liaison between the patient and the department
Serve in a guest relations role to patients and visitors
Relay patient food requests/comments to Dietetic Technicians
Deliver or relay messages from nursing and other health care staff to the department
Share any issues to the appropriate staff. Turn in phone and IPad. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card, and one year of food service experience in a health care setting.
