Description Robert Half is actively looking for a Controller. This is a very innovative, prestigious area with significant visibility at executive management level. In this Controller role, your responsibilities will include managing processes to ensure models are accurate and fully accrued on a monthly basis, and holding operations team accountable that end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting, and related financial controls are operating at an effective rate. The Controller position will be located in Seattle, Washington and is a long-term contract engagement. Key responsibilities

Recognize key financial results and movements across programs, then summarize and discuss them with key business partners

Collaborate with various business partners for a variety of program controllership and FP& A activities such as upholding accurate accrual models and appropriate accounting, as well as true-up activities.

Supervise reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes and tools for the accountable programs

Evaluate and observe controls to ensure they are designed and operating effectively in partnership with compliance

Ongoing review of actual spend against budget and direct necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls

Obtain understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

Collaborate with the Treasury to deliver cash flow forecasts in a timely manner Requirements - Implement and improve changes in procedures immediately

Biotech experience preferred

Month end closings experience

SAP experience desired

Auditing experience preferred

Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

Highly skilled at communication and negotiation with prior experience creating trusted advisor/consultant relationships and influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field

CPA and/or CMA preferred

Demonstrated ability to provide leadership across finance team by engaging with different groups around the world via virtual communication

Good understanding of ERP system is highly valued

7+ years detail oriented accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance

Excellent efficiency in office and accounting computer systems
