Complex Authorization Coordinator

Meet payor authorization requirements to ensure maximum reimbursement for a variety of complex services. Assess the family and organizational financial liability for services requested for patients who live outside of the WAMI region, (Washington, Alaska, Montana or Idaho) including Out of Country patients with insurance. Determine requirements for financial clearance, educate families, clinic staff, contracting and providers of options; execute and coordinate actions needed to schedule patients.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.

Four (4) years experience with progressive responsibility in a role involving or related to patient registration and scheduling, financial counseling or meeting insurance company requirements for prior authorization of outpatient and inpatient services, or a combination of applicable experience and college level coursework in lieu of a total of four years of experience.Required CredentialsN/A.PreferredBachelor of Arts or higher in a related field.

Two or more years of experience processing prior authorizations with demonstrated ability to problem solve complex insurance authorization, benefit and coverage situations.

Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.Compensation Range$25.09 - $37.64 per hourSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
