Description:Scope of work: Automated Fulfillment Initiative (main initiative for which they need support) Create and conduct a weekly business review for visibility into program performance. Provide recommendations on program optimization. Identify root cause drivers of AF and FPA metric misses and produce a minimum of 1 finding report per month. Required Clean-up of dashboards or data tables that are negatively impacting the AF and FPA metrics. Capacity Delivery Create a weekly business review for visibility into program performance. Provide recommendations on program optimization. Identify root cause drivers of capacity delivery metrics misses and produce a minimum of 1 finding report per month. Required Clean-up of dashboards or data tables that are negatively impacting the capacity delivery metrics. o Lead weekly business reviews; From business review discussions there may be ad hoc deep dive requests that will come in and then share findings with the business after deep dives are completed. As they have having discussions, could be additional deep dive requests to look into data that would be ad hoc requests. o Query data, analyze metrics, deep dive and share findings in reports; running analysis, all analysis work is for their business reviews o Identify root cause drivers for metric gaps and produce monthly findings reports Identify root cause of KPI misses Capacity delivery – They are in AWS infrastructure biz so capacity is being able to deliver the racks/servers so their end customers can use them. By saying capacity delivery it’s whatever demand they have, they can scale and e able to deliver compute power for end user customers. Specially when they talk about capacity delivery its about whether they are meeting customer needs – whether they deliver capacity at the time they need it. So things like “meeting need by date” or meeting a “promise date”, these are the types of topics the individual would be deep diving. So its about the problem of timing. If they misses to their capacity delivery it means they delivered the rack late or not at all against the date they needed. Across diff phases within operations, they would need to do deep dives on what happened from a weekly to monthly perspective. They have weekly biz reviews to recall and deep dive defects and reasons why misses were occurring. And that’s with group of people. On monthly basis they meet with their VPs on reports and summarize findings. If the individual can answer deep dive question and help them do analysis on a weekly basis they would be summarizing results on a monthly basis. Being able to delivery the servers so end customer can use them, scale and deliver the compute power, whether we are meeting customers needs, able to delivery capacity, promise dates, a problem of timing, deep dive on what happen Weekly defects, misses, monthly basis VP, reports summarizes findings At a high level they require data analysis support with tables they have they receive questions all the time and need weekly analysis around why data is trending one way or another. They also require project delivery to support their product work; they need additional dashboards/views to be built out. It’s not simply just a front end layer of a dashboard, some require ETL and data manipulation where there are a couple of broad tables transformed and joined into a diff way to view in dashboards. Like any big initiative amazon likes to be data drive – building metrics/pipelines, maintaining dashboards. Their weekly views for weekly meetings have been stale/broken and no one can look into it. They want to create a new goal but need the view – need data analysis to use specific views to try things.Skills:data analysis, dashboard, metrics, pipelines, ETLTop Skills Details:data analysis, dashboard, metrics, pipelines,ETLAdditional Skills & Qualifications:2 roles – L5 levels They need someone strong in data analysis, doesn’t have to be anything to crazy, good with Excel and SQL to grab data from data sources, run analysis with data, also looking for someone who can help build data models. They have a lot of raw data tables in database, seeking someone who can get data, pivot it into a way to build new dashboards as well as new versions of data (ETL skill sets). Dashboarding skills – they have a lot of dashboards owned by previous BIEs and neglected at this point. Someone and comfortable in Quicksight and knows how to refresh data feeds. If we identify a BA, depends on the type of skills they have – if they are very SQL savvy, I want to see trends/stories and they can use SQL to pull it. If it’s just charts and excel, then no. if the BA needs the BIE to pull the data from SQL that wouldn’t help. If we go with the route where one can be less savvy than the other, then the less savvy one would need to know simple select queries with where clauses and so on. Second one would need to create temp tables and be a lot more advanced, being able to duplicate entries and doing complex joins. Excel – nothing too advanced, basic pivot table/vlookup/basic knowledge Years of exp: 3-5+ years could be fineExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
