Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role involves working within the finance sector, where the main duties will revolve around handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries. As part of our team, you will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.Responsibilities: Handle and accurately process customer credit applications Manage and maintain precise customer credit records Uphold a special focus on billable time detail while preparing invoices Carry out internal reporting tasks such as invoicing, work in progress, work authorizations, and profit and loss for each matter Collaborate with operations to provide project revenue figures for court documents Assist operations in preparing estimates for future work for budgeting purposes Monitor and manage project budgets and client expectations Coordinate with operations for follow-ups on outstanding accounts receivable Develop and implement initiatives for process improvement relating to workflow enhancement Utilize Excel Formulas, Adjusting Journal Entries, Journal Entries, and Billing Collection skillsThe pay range for this position is $28.50/hr to $33.00/hr.The role is a hybrid position with 2 days per week in-office.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Proficiency in Excel Formulas is required. Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary. Skill in Adjusting Journal Entries is essential. Ability to make Journal Entries accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with Journal Entry preparation process. Experience with Ledger Journal Entries is beneficial. Capability to handle Month-end Journal Entries is needed. Ability to manage Monthly Journal Entries. Skill in Posting Journal Entries is required. Experience in Billing is important. Knowledge of Billing Collection methods is necessary. Familiarity with Billing System is crucial.
