Responsibilities: The Project Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for performing geotechnical engineering calculations and analyses. Performing geotechnical report writing. Completing geotechnical field exploration and sample collection. Performing geotechnical construction monitoring and testing. Participating in client meetings and presentations. Telecommuting permitted. 5% domestic travel required.
Education: Doctorate in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
Requirements: Any amount of knowledge of the following skills which can be gained through work experience, internships, or coursework at the Master’s or higher level. Other special requirements include: coding in 1 or multiple program languages; effective Stress 1D and 2DSeismic Site response analyses leveraging advanced constitutive liquefaction prediction models such as PM4S and PM4Stilt; implementation of seismic soil constitutive models in FEM packages; finite element based seismic soil structure interaction modeling; and writing technical documents, programming in Python to create tools for geotechnical workflow improvement and algorithmic calibration and data reduction of analysis parameters.
Pay Range: $105,000 - $133,000
