A civil engineering firm is seeking a full time Land Use Planner. The position requires managing projects from feasibility through entitlement phases with an emphasis on residential subdivisions.
Duties include:
Conduct initial project research and assisting project managers
Read and interpret site plans, zoning and development regulations
Prepare Feasibility Reports
Coordinate applicable environmental studies and assessments
Review and address governmental agencies comments
Coordinate and submit permit applications
Communicate with clients regularly responding to inquiries and providing project updates
Required Knowledge and Skills
Land Planning concepts, principal practices and basic office procedural knowledge
Local, state and federal regulations for development projects
Excellent communication skills with clients, coworkers, and jurisdiction staff
Use of proper English, grammar and punctuation
Maintain confidentiality
Monitoring operating budgets and costs
Adhere to strict deadlines
AutoCAD skills are a plus, but are not required
