We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and programming fire safety systems within various projects. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and layout design, as well as proficiency in industry-standard software tools. As a Fire Designer, you will ensure compliance with safety regulations and contribute to the overall safety of our projects.

Duties

-Design and draft fire protection systems.

-Collaborate with project teams to develop layout designs for fire safety installations.

-Build and implement electrical wiring systems for fire alarm and suppression systems. Communicate with field installers regularly

-Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards in all designs.

-Conduct inspections and assessments of fire safety installations to ensure functionality and compliance.

-Provide technical support during the installation phase of fire protection systems.

-Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, modifications, and compliance checks.

-Develop relationships with material suppliers

-Price material efficiently

-Experience in multi-family and commercial projects a plus

Requirements

-NICET LEVEL III or IV

-Proficiency in relevant design software.

-Strong knowledge of electrical wiring practices and electrical systems.

-Familiarity with NEC regulations and standards related to fire safety.

-Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail in layout design.

-Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects.

-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

-Previous experience in fire engineering or related fields is preferred
