PERC Tutoring provides affordable in-home academic tutoring services for all subjects from age 5 through PhD level. We believe in a holistic teaching approach, giving students the skills necessary to transcend success from the educational setting and textbook knowledge into relevant life applications. We offer students a unique and advantageous learning experience through focusing on academic success, instilling values, and promoting both self-efficacy and self-esteem.

We serve the South Sound area including Tacoma, Puyallup, University Place, Federal Way, Edgewood, and surrounding areas. Our tutors travel to wherever is most convenient for the student, whether that is at home or at a nearby library or coffee shop.

Bachelor's Degree Required- Flexible Hours - Self-Motivated - Self-Paced - Exciting Opportunities

Essential Functions: The essential functions of this position include but may not be limited to the following:

A. Assist and tutor primary, middle, and high school students and college students in private tutoring sessions located in the student’s home or an agreed-upon location.

B. Evaluate, monitor, and record student progress through performing task such as (but not limited to):

a) Maintaining records of assessment, student results, and homework submission as appropriate

b) Assisting with homework and projects for students offering feedback to students in accordance with contract guidelines

c) Create learning activities and use resources to facilitate a positive learning environment

d) Correspond with parents, teachers and P.E.R.C. administrative staff

e) Turn in monthly evaluations to P.E.R.C. LLC

C. Be punctual for all scheduled tutoring sessions. See hand book for more details

D. Complete and submit all administrative paperwork i.e. first session reviews, time sheets, monthly student summary and monthly student evaluation. See handbook for more details.

E. Attend appropriate training and staff development activities and meeting as organized by P.E.R.C. LLC.

(2 required meetings a year)

F. Respond within 24 hours to all emails, texts, and phone calls from P.E.R.C. representatives and clients.

At-Will Employment: This is an at-will position, meaning that the employee’s employment may be terminated at any

time with or without cause by the employee or employer. Employees are required to fulfill contract obligations.
