Summer Camp Teacher – Robotics & STEAM

Location: Magikid Robolab Bellevue

Position Type: Seasonal (Summer), with potential for year-round employment

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience

About Us

Magikid Robolab Bellevue delivers innovative robotics and STEAM education for children ages 3–10. Our programs combine hands-on learning, coding, and creative thinking in fun, project-based classes that inspire the next generation of builders, inventors, and problem-solvers.

Position Overview

We’re looking for passionate, energetic Summer Camp Teachers to lead robotics and STEAM activities in our themed summer camps. This role includes guiding students through exciting weekly topics like AI, humanoid robots, life science, and space using platforms such as VEX GO, OLLO, Wonder Robotics, and Scratch.

Outstanding summer instructors may be invited to transition into a year-round teaching role during the school year as part of our regular weekend and afterschool class schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily robotics and STEAM sessions for campers in K–5th grade

Facilitate creative, hands-on activities in small group settings

Encourage collaboration, experimentation, and independent thinking

Ensure student safety and classroom organization

Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and classroom transitions

Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff

Qualifications

Experience working with children in teaching, tutoring, or camp roles

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Interest in STEM/STEAM education and hands-on learning

Tech-comfortable and willing to learn new platforms (training provided)

Responsible, organized, and dependable

Background check required

Bonus: Experience with robotics kits (e.g., VEX, OLLO, LEGO), Scratch, or 3D design is a plus—but not required! Training will be provided.

Schedule

Summer Camps: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Extended Care Shifts Available: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Opportunity to continue as a Routine Class Teacher during the school year (weekend and afterschool sessions)
