Private Montessori is searching for a Montessori Assistant Teacher or Aide who is passionate and excited to teach in a Montessori school! We are a fun, professional group of teachers looking to add another amazing team-member! We are a Farm-school with big, beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs. We interact with sheep, goats, alpacas, and chickens. We have multiple playgrounds and wonderful acreage for nature walks.

Position Start Date: August 25th, 2025

We are looking for a person to join our passionate team of teachers at our Montessori school. This person will be a quick learner, and able to assist in a child-centered environment. Assistant teachers must be confident and competent to support the lead teacher and the needs of the children. Must love children, have patience, and a fun/calm demeanor.

The job is full-time with a bit of flexibility.

Employee is set to work the hours 8:15-4:15PM with the flexibility of working fewer hours occasionally and as needed with prior notification.

This job is for the school year starting one week before school starts and two weeks after school ends.

Job Requirements:

Applicant must have experience in a classroom or preschool setting with age 3 - 6 years of age

Experience in a Montessori preschool is a plus, but not required

Knowledge of current developments in the field of early childhood.

Ability to form positive, warm and open relationships with children and adults.

Demonstrates strong initiative and enthusiasm.

Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work under pressure.

Demonstrates reliability with evidence of a good health record.

Dedicated to their classroom and its success

Has excellent verbal communication skills

Team player willing to help others

BBP Training

First Aid and CPR Certified

Must be physically able to get up and down from the floor

Be able to quickly clean and organize the Montessori classroom

Must be able to stay off phone while working
