Sunrise Beach School and SBHS seeks to hire a new part-time high school mathematics teacher.
What is Sunrise Beach School?
On the surface, Sunrise Beach School may look like any other K-12 private Christian School, but under the surface, it is so much more. Sunrise Beach School serves an ambitious academic purpose, changing the world one student at a time. Whether teaching the students about the glory of their Savior, inspiring the next generation of pupils to achieve their full potential, or simply mentoring students along the path to their future success, Sunrise Beach School strives to put students first and foremost. If this idea appeals to you, you may be ready to join the Sunrise Beach School Family.
Who are we looking for?
Let us consider Sunrise Beach School's five C's
Care: Your primary job responsibility will be caring for the students under your charge, ensuring their safety at all times, and supporting them academically and emotionally as they develop into the leaders of tomorrow.
Courtesy: We would love every school day to be a serene academic adventure; however, sometimes, stress makes its way into the teaching experience. Whether it be a child disobeying instructions, a misunderstanding with a coworker, or parent, the question isn't how it happens but how you handle it. Here, courtesy comes into play; whether the other party acts in a manner deserving of courtesy or not, we must respond in a way befitting our position as Christian role models, demonstrating how these highly impressionable students should handle challenging situations.
Cooperation: In this position, it will be vital to coordinate and cooperate with administrative staff, coworkers, students, and their parents to ensure that we can provide the highest level of care imaginable. Your ability to work with individuals of differing viewpoints and opinions toward shared goals will determine the level of success you can achieve in your position.
Consideration: Your actions, phrasing, attitude, level of volume, and word choice will affect not only how students respond to your instruction but also how they view the academic setting as a whole. To maintain a positive environment, it is essential to retain a growth mindset and a positive outlook. A student may have failed a test, but it does not mean they are a failure; they just haven't achieved success yet; however, they will with your help.
Through Christ: Sunrise Beach School is a Christ-centered institution that requests all staff members to sign a written statement of faith before being hired. We ask that each classroom start the day in prayer and that each teacher ensures that their teaching style puts Christ foremost in the hearts and minds of their students.
