The Seattle Area German American School (The SAGA School), a preschool through elementary German immersion school, is looking for a qualified teacher who can teach elementary curriculum in German.
The Elementary Teacher is essential for SAGA in order to provide a high-quality education for its students. The teacher works with our Elementary Senior Educator and in cooperation with other elementary teachers to implement a comprehensive and interesting curriculum in a structured classroom. These objectives are accomplished in a German immersion environment.
Teachers in this position adhere to the Washington State curriculum standards and maintain an excellent standard of learning and achievement. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in the planning, organizing, and implementing education services for children. Candidates must enjoy working in teams and collaborating with others.
A degree in Elementary Education is preferred. Fluency in German and English are required. Position designed as 35 hours per week in a classroom environment including prep time and participation in team meetings. Must have the flexibility to accommodate evening and/or weekend work, as required.
This is a full time, salaried teaching position with health, dental, and vision insurance provided. Retirement benefits are not currently offered.
