We’re Hiring

A Quiet Forest Preschool is seeking full and part time lead teachers for our preschool program located in Duvall, WA. The positions include caring for and teaching children ages birth through kindergarten. The position also includes behind the scenes prep such as cleaning, meal preparation, and instructional preparation. We strive to create and maintain a safe, orderly, stimulating, and positive environment for both the children and the parents in our program.

The fun part of our job is being with the children. Very few jobs have so much reward on a daily basis as we guide them through each developmental stage.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

Develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities

Employ effective and developmentally appropriate teaching and class management strategies

Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment

Communicate with parents and families when needed

Qualifications:

Applicants must be 18 or older

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Be flexible, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain a patient and respectful rapport with both children and adults

Be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

Be willing to actively participate in activities with children such as singing, dancing, pretend play, etc.

Requirements:

Childcare programs are licensed by the State of Washington, Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). They set certain standards and codes for the facility and employees. We will pay for training, it just needs to be completed before working with the children.

Current TB Test

Criminal History Background Check and Fingerprinting

First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens training

DCYF required classes

Highschool Diploma or GED

Nonsmoker

Able to physically, comfortably, and safely lift a child up to 50 lbs

Able to physically and comfortably get up and down from the floor

Must have reliable transportation

Compensation: $18-22 DOE

Anticipated start date of June 3, 2024
