Job Title: Attendance Coordinator

Position Type: (Exempt or Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt, Staff, Part-time

Reports to: Office Manager

Typical Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on school days and some non-school days

Closing Date: When Filled

Location: Redmond, WA

Pay Range: $28 to $30 per hour dependent on Experience

Your Role.

The Bear Creek School is currently seeking to add a member to our office team! The Attendance Coordinator is responsible for an accurate accounting of each student on days when classes are in session and engages professionally and graciously with a wide variety of internal and external constituents both verbally and in writing. Skills required include, but are not limited to, punctuality, reliability, follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail, being highly organized in a systematic way, accuracy using abstract/sequential reasoning, and being comfortable with new technologies.

We are seeking an individual who will:

Manage and maintain Veracross (the school’s integrated data-based software package) attendance portal

Record and reconcile attendance for all students at Redmond Campus in the database throughout the school day

Phone parents/guardians of absent students when no notification is received

Track the whereabouts of any unaccounted-for students

Track early dismissals for sports teams

Reconcile attendance tracking across divisions and campus buildings

Produce attendance reports, spreadsheets, charts, etc., as requested

Meet with faculty to provide annual training and reminders on attendance procedures

Work with teachers to ensure timely and accurate attendance, providing coaching and strategies as needed

Work with the Health Services Director to identify trends in illnesses

Provide backup assistance to the Receptionist and Health Room staff as needed

Manage and maintain visitor management system

Act as Administration presence during drop-off and/or pick-up times as needed

Provide front desk coverage during lunch hours across multiple buildings

Project work as requested by the Office Manager as needed and as time allows

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education:

High School diploma required, post-secondary education preferred

Previous school experience preferred

Hold CPR/AED/First Aid certification (with epinephrine autoinjector supplement) or obtain certification within 90 days of employment start date

Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer (sponsorship is not available for this position)

Work in a climate-controlled office with travel outdoors between buildings
