IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will:
Possess keen awareness of the functioning of the whole while also paying attention to individual and small group needs.
Be committed to excellent communication with students, staff, and the school leadership team.
Exhibit a high degree of organization and attention to detail and an understanding of students’ needs.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of current research in human development and learning in support of the early childhood educational approach and enjoyment of children.
Contribute positively to the school community beyond the job specific tasks, including active cross-level collaboration with a can-do attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
One or more years’ classroom experience is preferable.
Commitment to professional development and best practices in education.
Commitment to meeting the needs of each student.
WA State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) for Child Care Center: Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Qualifications (Preferred. Will provide training for the right candidate.)
Including but not limited to: DCYF background check, TB test, High school diploma, Childcare basics, First Aid/ CPR, Blood-borne pathogens training.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary range is $18-24 per hour, dependent on education, training, and experience. Benefits include paid time off, insurance.
