Job Summary

The Accounting Manager maintains oversight of the financial functions of RealCraft, a national E-commerce business. This person guides and oversees a small accounting team and works closely with the CEO.

The Accounting Manager ensures that our company has updated, accurate financial records. They work closely with upper management to identify areas to reduce costs and liabilities. They ensure that our company complies with financial regulations. They also review financial statements to determine our corporation’s financial health and act accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicates regularly with the CEO.

o Compiles and presents to the CEO weekly financial reports and other reports as requested.

o Offers informed advice to the CEO regarding potential financial outcomes, opportunities, and challenges.

Implements policies and procedures for financial reporting.

Directs monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities performed by the accounting team.

Maintains and updates records and financial reports to ensure the company is audit ready.

Confirms and reconciles tax filings, reseller’s permits, sales commissions, etc.

Manages accounting information systems functionality, data, and related vendor relationships with Avalara, ADP, QuickBooks, and Webgility.

Collaborates with the production team regarding inventory data continuity.

Approves and analyzes payroll, revenue, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Manages accounts receivable collections.

Coordinates with external financial institutions and authorities such as banks and our CPA. Provides assistance and information as needed.

Continuously documents Standard Operating Procedures on accounting team duties to ensure a backup system is established.

Maintains Asset purchase information and provides it to the CPA firm.

Other projects and duties identified as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.

Ability to manage and train a small accounting team.

Experience in navigating multi-state Nexus via Avalara tax software.

Expert Excel skills and the ability to analyze big data from various information systems and sources to provide management insight.

Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to prioritize and organize efficiently.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Collaborative mindset.

This is a full-time, on-site position, with an annual salary range of $90,000 - $110,000.
