If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you.Role SummaryThe Employee Relations Manager is a subject matter expert in employee relations strategy, investigations, employee & leaders support programs and services for Horizon Air. As an individual contributor, this role mentors and guides the employee relations team members on various tasks including workplace investigations, EEO distinctions, performance management, and training in support of a high-performance culture. This role will partner with Horizon Air leadership to deliver employee relations best practices, risk management, employee engagement, DEI, and executive coachingKey Duties

Partners with the Director of HR and leaders to influence and impact strategy around employee relations best practices, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, and training.

With the Director, this role helps ensure a consistent employee relations strategy to successfully resolve people issues and mitigate employment risks.

Acts as a senior advisor/consultant to leadership and shared services HR to support client groups with large or strategic projects or initiatives.

Oversees case management system, assigns cases and ensures thorough, timely and appropriate conclusions.

Partners with and guides the employee relations partner team to deliver high-value service in support of company priorities and people initiatives.

Coaches and mentors Employee Relations Partners, helping the team succeed in growing their knowledge, skills, and experience.

Functions as a thought partner with leadership to support business initiative and influences change with people-focused goals and objectives that align with the company’s values, culture, and DEI goals.

Manages projects to support various employee relations-related and cross functional initiatives, including development and implementation of company-wide people programs, ensuring that change management best practices are applied.

Manages employee relations programs and provides services to support employee relations initiatives and serve as a liaison between HR functional areas. Proactively maintains an open line of communication with managers and employees on employee relations-related issues.

Influences priorities to identify root cause analyses of trends and areas of concerns, often leveraging data and other types of critical information.

Partners with HR Partners and leaders to provide guidance, solutions, actionable feedback, education, and training opportunities.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & SkillsRequired

7 years of experience in HR investigations or employee relations.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to enhance both customer and employee satisfaction.

Strong people skills, with the ability to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company.

Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with other teams and work groups.

Meticulous and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Innovative, apolitical, resilient, fact-based, and a creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, collaborative environment and to manage conflict.

Proven ability to leverage business acumen and analytic capability to position the Employee Relations team as a change agent and key business partner.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and common HR systems.

The ability to travel occasionally as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 18.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.

In-depth experience in conflict resolution processes.

Experience with change management.

Knowledge of employment law.
