The Controller position is a permanent opportunity in the Sammamish, Washington region. The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Candidates who can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo, will be preferred for this position. Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations

Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection

Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 + bonus.Benefits:Medical/Dental/Vision 100% paid by employer401(k) with match3 weeks paid time off10 paid holidaysRequirements

Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

CPA/MBA preferred

Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

Sound written and verbal communication skills

Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills

General familiarity with Leadership Skills

General ledger experience

Demonstrated knowledge of Process Improvement

Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)

Proficiency in Process Bi-weekly Payroll

Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

Financial analysis experience

Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
