Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Seattle, Washington. The specialist will be part of a dynamic team, responsible for managing and maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The role involves working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. Responsibilities: Accurately processing high volume of accounts payable invoices. Handling data entry tasks and inputting invoices into QuickBooks. Managing the company mailbox and addressing outstanding invoices from vendors. Conducting check runs, both physical and ACH, and sending remittance emails after check runs. Ensuring accurate account coding changes in QuickBooks. Communicating effectively in a virtual environment and demonstrating technical proficiency. Auditing accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and procedures. Using ERP and other accounting software systems to manage and analyze financial data. Performing various accounting functions, such as accrual accounting, to keep financial records up to date. Assisting with other related duties as needed. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is required for the role. Familiarity and expertise with Accounting Software Systems is a must. Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential. Strong understanding of Accounting Functions is needed. Prior experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is important. Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is crucial. Experience in Auditing is a prerequisite. Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is necessary. Proficiency in QuickBooks is required. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is a significant advantage.
